4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 very easily applied, pretty decent hold, 11.6.2014
    Reviewer: Timothy (Zurich, ZH)

I have tried several waxes on this page. And whilst I rarely use this one in the morning as my main wax, it is the one that I carry with me during the day because it is easily applied without heat and has a decent hold (but not entirely sufficient for my handlebar). I have the mint and love the scent. I have been using devil's choice mostly for the last 6 months. It needs a bit of warming so it doesn't get too clumpy and is very sticky, but the hold is exactly what I'm looking for. American Gentleman Soap Co had an even stronger hold, but took forever to heat up and apply. The following apply very well but don't keep my whiskers in check unfortunately: Rex Wax, Mr Bear, Damn Good Soap Company, Man's Face Stuff Gin & Tonic, Captain Fawcette. Captain Fawcette Expedition Strength was a little better than the regular and Moustache Wrestler Shipwright was absolutely useless IMO. 'Can you handlebar: secondary' (not sold here) works fairly well for me. Brother's Love and Stern were to weird for me to apply and flakey. Dr. Dittmars has excellent hold, but a) you cannot recomb it throughout the day as it dries stiff and b) if you do, it will flake I will be ordering another Devil's Choice as my go to again shortly and a Mr King's to try out as well. But as said, I find Devil's Choice very tough to apply without a decent blow drier. But from what I read a lot of the waxes that don't work for me seem to be fantastic for others. YMMV

Well...I wanted to wright a great review but they mailed me the wrong tin. I got the lavender scent instead of the peppermint. I tried the wax to see if it works as claimed and it does but I need an even stronger formula for my stubborn hairs. If you have some suggestions for me please send me a note to my e-mail. Which is stronger Mr.Kings or The Devils choice? I'll probably go with one of those. As for Lockhart's the lavender scent can get "Lost in space" or sent to June Lockhart in Hollywood.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Great Hold, 3.18.2014
    Reviewer: Jon H (Springfield, MO)

This has a great hold and it lasts. I have a problem of fiddling with my stache every couple of hours to make sure it is still perfect and this wax lets me. Only thing that I could say is a downside to this is it isn't peppermint like the description and picture says. They have changed it for a coconut parfum which still smells great and actually makes me like it even more.

I used to use FireHouse Brand "Wacky Tacky". I had some problems with tugging and uneven melting. Lockhart's HD is definitely my new wax! The color is a deep purple and will actually lighten up a dark stache. My first tin does not smell like peppermint but has more of a coconut odor (it is quite pleasant). The wax melts well and goes on very smooth. Even when I apply a heavy coat I have no tugging. My very curly handlebars last all day with no drooping and if I sleep without ruining them they have even lasted a second day. The wax rinses fairly easily with some shampoo soaking. I highly recommend this product.

Incredible hold! Needs to be warmed up a little but is very silky to apply. Sets firm, tingles and smells wonderful. Comparable to wacky tacky but easier to work with.
